Virginia designed these Sea Shells in the mid-1980's to represent the local seaside environment where Whetstone Chocolates was located. The City of St. Augustine lies on the northeast coast of Florida at the juncture of the Matanzas River inlet and the Atlantic Ocean. As a child, Virginia enjoyed collecting sea shells as they washed ashore on the miles of beautiful white sandy beaches. These Sea Shells are a vivid reminder of her childhood memories and the quaint community.

Melted mess
They were a melted mess and didn't hold their shape, unusable for the wedding. Disappointing the bride as these were favors for a wedding. Forced us to pivot for something else as we were unwilling to take the risk on a second shipment and waste more money. All three ice packs were hot on delivery and we were home and were handed the delivery by the driver. It did not sit on porch.
