Virginia designed these Sea Shells in the mid-1980's to represent the local seaside environment where Whetstone Chocolates was located. The City of St. Augustine lies on the northeast coast of Florida at the juncture of the Matanzas River inlet and the Atlantic Ocean. As a child, Virginia enjoyed collecting sea shells as they washed ashore on the miles of beautiful white sandy beaches. These Sea Shells are a vivid reminder of her childhood memories and the quaint community.
